welcome...and pet hair

Welcome to my first blog of the 2012-2013 school year...is vacation really over?  At Back to School Night on Thursday, August 16 I will be passing out blog waiver forms so your children can be featured here.  Until then...it's all about me.  Anyone that knows me, knows that I usually have an animal hair or 100 attached somewhere on my body (as a matter of fact, Mrs. Guenin usually runs the lint brush over my backside before school each morning...it's quite a sight but that's the kind of friendship we have!).

Please meet and greet my family:

Malcolm...our classroom bunny
Malcolm was originally a "Molly" when he first arrived seven years ago but three or four months into the school year I unexpectedly discovered she was a he and the rest is history.  Pray for Malcolm...he's getting a little long in the tooth so to speak...note: gray hair.
I have quite a collection of girls at my house: four Cavalier King Charles Spaniels and one Maine Coon cat...I adore them all.
Sweet Lily (my old girl)
These are the sweetest dogs ever...just look at these faces!

But like all kids...Lily has her moments...this was one of those moments...but how can you stay mad?

Emma...my second oldest
She is beautiful and has had 13 children of her own...one of whom received his AKC Championship at the age of 17 months...we are very proud of her offspring.

Sally
Sally and her sister Nellie (below) are my little English girls.  My cousin brought them back from England and Sally absolutely adores watching PBS Mystery!  She is STILL a sucker for an English accent.

Nellie/Tina/Duh
She answers to many names!
This one is what my cousin Karen (the breeder) would call my "heart" dog but we don't tell the others.  My class named her puppy that she had this past spring Louie.

...and of course we all sleep together.  They were bred to be bedwarmers back in the old country and that they are.

...and rounding out the "family" is Izzy...she also thinks she is a Cavalier and so do the other "girls".

...oh ya...there is this other girl in my life.
Molly
(who obviously loves her mother very much)
Molly is a professional photographer and the link to her website is top right on my blog.

This is why a little bunny/dog/cat hair doesn't bother me that much but it's also the reason for the huge line up of lint brushes on the bookshelf behind my desk...a small price to pay I say.

The next blog will be about your kids...get those waivers turned in on Back to School Night.
